
Occupational Physician
According to the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, all enterprises in the dangerous and very dangerous class and enterprises with more than 50 employees are obliged to receive occupational physician service for certain periods, per person, according to the hazard class.
Duties of the Occupational Physician:
- Guiding and consulting the employer on occupational health
- Conducting employee recruitment and periodic health examinations
- Educating employees on general health issues
- Evaluating the ergonomic and psychosocial risks in the conduct of the work, ensuring the harmony of the work and the worker
- Participate in the work of the occupational health and safety committee
- Participating in the work of the surveillance and control system in the workplace
- Participating in risk assessment studies led by occupational safety
- To carry out preventive health examinations in accordance with the legislation on the assessment and prevention of risks in the workplace
- Health surveillance of workers, including night shifts
- Supervising the general hygiene conditions in the workplace
Working Hours of the Occupational Physician
- 5 Minutes per month per person in the less hazardous class
- 10 Minutes per month per person in dangerous class
- 15 Minutes per month per person in very dangerous class
